FOUR SEASONS
OF CHARM

WHAT IS A BIA?

A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is a group of local businesses and commercial property owners within a defined boundary who work together to enhance their area. Funded through a levy, a BIA focuses on beautification, promotion, and economic development to create a vibrant community and attract visitors.

BUT WHAT DO WE REALLY DO?

The Thornbury BIA enhances the downtown core by supporting local businesses, organizing events, and creating a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere for residents and visitors. We bring the community together with signature events like Olde Fashioned Christmas, Canada Day celebrations, and the Winter Lights, while also supporting seasonal promotions and activations. Through beautification projects like decorating the town with flower baskets in the spring and pumpkin displays in the fall, marketing initiatives, and community partnerships, we help businesses thrive while showcasing Thornbury’s unique charm.
